If you define an independent characteristic, the characteristic is referred to for the creation of the dynamic item and is saved with the dynamic item.

If you define a dependent characteristic, the characteristic is not referred to for the creation of the dynamic item and is not saved with the dynamic item. A dependent characteristic depends on an independent characteristic. When the dependent characteristic is selected, the independent characteristic to which it refers is always selected also.

You can specify the values of the independent characteristics that you define yourself in the function module EXIT_SAPLAD12_003.
