In the standard system, with external deliveries, it is possible to derive to and from affiliated companies. Affiliated companies are ones for which a partner company is entered in the master record.

Function exit EXIT_SAPLPC45_002 allows you to activate partner profit center derivation for other business partners.

The derivation rules for the profit center are defined in Customizing. These rules can also be enhanced using the function exits
